The Challenge Theory X: Did Adam Rape KellyAnne/Jenn?

Now again, I am going to go back down the rabbit hole of sexual assault and rape much like I did in the Tonya post in whether Evan and Kenny penetrated her with a toothbrush. This information came out during a podcast that KellyAnne participated in where she put an accusation against a former costar way out in the open. To begin with, KellyAnne originally starred on the Sydney season of the "Real World" (2007) and eventually started her challenge career on "The Island" (2008) where she actually did well despite not winning. On the show, she proved to be at odds with Johnny "Bananas" and made friends with Evelyn, the two remain to be good friends to this day. However, her second challenge happened to be "The Ruins" (2009) back when she was still dating Wes and was still very good friends with her former boyfriend Cohutta.

Now another former "Real World" alum was also on that show and his name was Adam King, formerly CT kick toy on the "Real World Paris" (2003). Adam was always an intelligent, yet small and underrated player that had never won a challenge, but had gone far a few times, especially in the "Gauntlet III" (2008) and "Rivals" (2011). One of the things I was always amazed with was the fact that he was able to pull in "bad girl" Jenn from "Real World Denver" (2007) despite the fact that in many cases she is out of his league in the looks department. He even claimed that he had had a crush on her ever since he saw her on "The Duel 2" (2009), but didn't get a chance to stick around because he got in a violent brawl with CT and the two rivals were sent home. I never expected the two to stay with each other after the show, knowing Jenn's track record with guys that she never stayed with. This included Alex, Stephen, Derrick, and Pete and that doesn't even count the girls she has had relationships with. However, in the reunion show for "Rivals", Jenn lashed out at Adam, didn't make that many accusations towards him, but basically called him a scumbag, refused to admit that they had sex and acknowledged that the only way he would appeal to her is if she was "black out drunk".

Now here is the thing, KellyAnne came out about two weeks ago and accused Adam of raping her while she was drunk. According to her, they both met at a bar with a bunch of other people from "Real World" between 2007 and 2008 before KellyAnne ever showed up on a challenge. According to her, she was drunk and she woke up in a random hotel room. A few weeks/months down the line, KellyAnne heard people say that Adam was telling other people that he had sex with KellyAnne, however, she had never consented to sex with him. Not to mention, on this same exact podcast, she also admitted that Adam got Jenn drunk and then had sex with her. Now that argument with Adam that Jenn had in the "Rivals" reunion starts to begin to make a little bit of sense, but it doesn't concretely tell whether or not Adam raped either KellyAnne or Jenn.

Now I am not going to slut shame at all and I am not going to get on KellyAnne for not coming forward immediately. Apparently she had no idea that it happened until Adam started going around telling people that he had sex with KellyAnne. However, what was completely perplexing is the fact that she went on a challenge with him ("The Ruins" 2009) and didn't opt to stay out of it. Because here is the thing, if I knew that someone had sex with me and didn't consent to it and I was about to spend what could have amounted to a few weeks in his presence, then I might consider my paid vacation. Maybe she had no idea that it took place or maybe she was in denial about it at the time, but it is kind of confusing that something like that were to have taken place and she was about to spend time with him living under the same roof.

What is my personal opinion? I think he did it. I have honest to god never been able to put my finger on what bothered me about Adam. He was always a seemingly nice guy with a level headed attitude, but he also kind of reminded me of myself when I first started college. I was really awkward, I wore weird clothing and my hair was weird as well. Maybe you can chalk that up to going through a phase and being uncomfortable around people. A lot of people consider rape to be something that people do to show that they have power, but I don't think that was the case at all. I think it was the fact that Adam doesn't and didn't at the time get laid that much. That is merely my personal opinion, but you never saw Adam go ahead and hook up with girls from the show, unless you count a possible hook-up with Beth on the "Gauntlet II" (2005), but who really knows?

One thing I do know was that it was pretty dumb for KellyAnne to expose all of this on a podcast. Now I am not saying that it didn't happen, because I personally believe that it did, but what I am saying is that with no evidence to prove her case, it would end up being a "he said, she said" kind of argument. Not to mention, if Adam felt like doing so, he could actually sue KellyAnne for besmirching his character. Anybody could say "well, she didn't go to the police, but rather, she is going straight to a podcast to make things up about a guy, who never did anything to her." And because she didn't go to the police originally, there will never be an investigation so we will never truly know what Adam did or didn't do to her. It has been almost 10 years since the alleged event, so it is very likely that there is a statute of limitations on the crime so Adam will never be tried.
